FUNCTIONALITY
AND USE
The DRL double rotor bed former shaper works the soil using a combined system of blades and tines, ensuring optimal preparation for sowing and transplanting. The front rotor, equipped with special blades, tills the soil deeply without altering its natural structure, improving water and nutrient absorption. The counter-rotating rear rotor, with steel tines, further refines the soil, levels the surface, and redirects larger clods to the front rotor for a second pass, ensuring uniform consistency.
This combination produces soft, well-aerated soil, improving structure and promoting root development. Optimal levelling ensures even sowing and more efficient irrigation, reducing the risk of waterlogging. Additionally, the removal of debris and plant residues creates a more favourable environment for crop growth. The DRL guarantees fast and efficient soil preparation, enhancing yield and quality in vegetable crops.

The choice of the rotor
Culti technology:
The CULTI series multi-blade rotor is the ideal solution for ultra-fine soil refinement. Thanks to the dense arrangement of the blades and their specially engineered profile, this rotor ensures uniform clod fragmentation, creating a perfectly prepared seedbed-essential for uniform germination and optimal growth of horticultural crops. The advanced technical design of the rotor, combined with the high-efficiency tooth geometry, enables deep and precise soil tillage in a single pass. The result is a levelled, soft, and well-aerated soil, ready to host delicate crops such as lettuce, lamb’s lettuce, and other leafy vegetables, while also reducing the need for further passes and lowering operating costs.
Frangiter technology:
The Frangiter rotor represents a technological advancement in soil tillage, specifically designed for clayey, compact, and hard-to-manage soils. Its aggressive yet controlled action is ensured by sharp, angled hoe blades with a blade-like geometry, which break clods into fine, uniform particles, creating even and high-performing seedbeds. Thanks to its exclusive design, Frangiter optimizes power transmission to the ground, reducing the load on the tractor. The result is outstanding operational efficiency, with low energy consumption and reduced machine wear. The angled flanges, engineered for optimal soil flow, prevent material buildup even in high-moisture conditions, maintaining consistent working depth and soil refinement quality – even in the most challenging soils.
Material S420
The S420 symbol identifies the use of high-strength special steel for the main structural components of the machine. This material ensures high robustness and superior resistance to deformation, even in highly stressed areas such as weld seams, guaranteeing greater durability and long-term reliability.
Spherical roller bearings
Machines marked with this label are equipped with spherical roller bearings, mounted on hubs and rotor supports. Designed to withstand high radial and axial loads, they provide greater reliability and durability even under heavy-duty conditions. Compared to tapered bearings, they offer 30% higher resistance and, thanks to their self-aligning capability, ensure operational stability and simplified installation without the need for preloading. A technical solution that improves work continuity and reduces machine downtime.
HARDOX 400 material
This logo identifies machines built entirely or partially with Hardox 400 wear-resistant steel, known for its exceptional abrasion resistance and outstanding structural strength. The use of this material also allows for a significant reduction in weight, enhancing performance and long-term durability.
CAMBIARE ADESIVO
ASA HE chain side transmission
The ASA HE chain transmission uses reinforced roller chains with heat-treated, induction-hardened pins to ensure greater fatigue resistance and tensile strength. Ideal for heavy-duty applications and intensive work cycles, such as on heavy machinery and conveyors, this solution offers superior reliability, toughness, and durability compared to standard chains.
Welded steel housing
All machines bearing this label are equipped with a cast iron housing, designed to provide maximum strength and protection for the transmission. Thanks to its excellent heat dissipation capacity, cast iron helps maintain stable lubricant oil temperatures, preventing overheating and ensuring constant and effective lubrication. In addition, its robustness and vibration-damping properties provide greater machine stability, reduce stress on the transmission, and enhance long-term reliability.
