Our story
The roots of the Massano company go back to the early 1950s, when Augusto Massano started a small craft business dedicated to repairing agricultural machinery and performing blacksmith work for local farms.
Over time, the company evolved through ingenuity and innovative spirit, developing the first agricultural implements designed to facilitate soil cultivation, such as harrows and four-section disc cultivators with steering frame, known as the “Massano Patent”, built with advanced techniques and high-quality materials even then.
A decisive turning point came in 1979, when the small workshop officially became Massano S.n.c. From the mid-1980s, the company began manufacturing rotary tillers with Frangiter-type rotor, a patented system unique in its kind that revolutionized the market by eliminating the traditional hoe-type rotor.
The true breakthrough, however, came in 1995, with the launch of the first Rotostone stone burier, marking the company’s entry into the professional horticultural sector.
This innovation represented a major turning point: it enabled Massano to stand out internationally and become a leader in soil cultivation for horticulture and landscaping.
Since then, the company has never stopped growing.
